What is the Hydrant Pay fee?

We charge 5% for our service, which is collected by subtracting the fee from your invoice when paying you.

What is a Brand Partner?

Brand Partners is the brand or agency that you contracted business with.

What if the Brand Partner is late on paying Hydrant Pay?

We will never charge you an extra fee for late payment. You are a customer of Hydrant Pay, and we take full responsibility for collecting. Once we pay you, the money is yours in full.

How will I receive my money?

The fastest way to secure payment is to add a Brand Partner and upload your contract before invoicing. This allows Hydrant Pay to verify the Brand Partner and prepare your payment. Once you upload an invoice, Hydrant Pay will already be ready to pay you out! If you add a Brand Partner on the same day as providing an invoice, your payment may take an extra 1-2 days to ensure verification from Hydrant Pay’s team.

Where is the money that is being paid is coming from?

We are partnered with a bank, they underwrite the credit for all of our contracts. They have been doing this kind of service in other industries for around 30 years, so we are bringing their expertise into this new market together.

How do new vendors / payees get onboarded? Do they need to go through a process with Hydrant Pay?

When Hydrant Pay works with a new agency, all we need from them is a Vendor Information form to keep on file. When you send an invoice, you would CC Hydrant Pay, and we would let them know we are your payment processor and ask them to verify your work / payment. It's pretty low touch on their end, they really just need to acknowledge us so we can know they are real / exist. That is a one time process with the vendor form, and each time after that we just verify the invoice amount and get you paid. We can also call if that is better than email, whatever they are most comfortable with.

Am I able to submit an invoice to you if I am already in payment terms with my vendors and still waiting on payment?

You can submit with us whenever you would like. Sometimes in that case, a vendor might already have your bank info saved to your name, so we would just make sure they remit payment to Hydrant Pay and change your profile info. That would be something that is done when you connect us over email.

There are some vendors that don't require an invoice, is one required?

You don't technically have to have an invoice sent to the vendor for us to pay you, we really just need the information an invoice usually has (payment amount, bill to, invoice number is helpful). It would be best if you could still upload an "invoice" to our website for us to capture the correct information. And then CC us in an email chain when the work is finished, we will verify the payment amount and then pay you.
